Maple Walnut Fudge

Maple Walnut Fudge

Special treat for gift giving or to sell at a bake sale!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup Mathison's Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Directions:

Combine the sugar, butter, maple syrup, milk, and marshmallows in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes, or until the mixture forms a thin thread when lifted with a spoon. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool while greasing a 9-inch square pan. Stir in the walnuts and vanilla extract. Continue stirring until the fudge begins to thicken and set around the edges of the saucepan. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and let it cool completely before cutting it into squares.
